President Donald Trump stated on Sunday that he has extended an invitation the family of a National Guard member fatally shot last week to attend the executive mansion.

He added that he spoke to her family and they were “heartbroken”.

Specialist Sarah Beckstrom, twenty years old, was lost her life in a violent incident on last Wednesday in DC.

Her comrade, Andrew Wolfe, 24, continues receiving treatment in critical condition.

The president stated he’s discussed a White House visit for the parents of both members of the West Virginia National Guard.

“I stated: ‘When you’re able, because that’s a tough thing, visit the White House. We’re going to honor Sarah,” Trump informed journalists. “And likewise with Andrew, whether he recovers or not.”

“She was the individual that teachers wished for. She behaved with quiet strength, a contagious smile and a positive energy that lifted people around her,” Hankins, the head of Beckstrom’s previous school, stated to the media. “She was sweet, considerate and always ready to help others.”

Law enforcement have charged a twenty-nine-year-old Afghan national with a charge of first-degree murder and two counts of violent assault while carrying a weapon.

The tragedy prompted the administration to suspend asylum applications and halt issuing entry permits to holders of Afghan passports.

The airman, a native of the city, enlisted in 2019 and is a 2019 graduate of Musselman High, per the Associated Press.

He remains under medical supervision and is “in a critical fight”, West Virginia governor Morrisey mentioned on television.

“She had a lot of kindness and she definitely had fortitude,” Morrisey informed the gathering at the vigil. “Though her life ended too soon, she has left a mark that’s going to last forever.”
