On Monday, Leicester Crown Court learned phone records and data recovered from phones documented Ms Wandelt consistently asking Madeleine's mother for a biological test over 2023 and 2024.

Madeleine's disappearance in 2007 - at the age of three during a family holiday in Portugal - is among the most publicized child disappearance cases and is still open.

'I Don't Want Money'

One recorded message, shared in court, recorded Ms Wandelt declaring: "I understand I'm fat and plain like Madeleine used to be, but I know what I feel."

While another instance of Ms Wandelt's one-way conversations with Mrs McCann's recording expressed: "What if there is a small chance that I'm her? What then? Wouldn't that be significant for you?"

"I am not seeking money, I maintain a living here in Poland, I only wish to know," the recording stated.

The jury was advised that through emails, SMS messages and communications, Ms Wandelt asked for a genetic test, sent early photographs to her phone in a attempt to show a resemblance to Mrs McCann's disappeared daughter, and stated to have "memories" from a youth with the McCanns.

Robert Jones, a data specialist with Leicestershire Police who compiled the evidence, told the court there "seemed to lack any answers" from Mrs McCann.

Ms Wandelt furthermore reached out to family friends of the McCanns, based on the phone records.

On October 9th, 2024, Gerry McCann answered a communication from Ms Wandelt to his wife's phone, declaring she had "a wrong number."

During that incident Ms Wandelt left a voicemail on Mrs McCann's answerphone declaring "I won't give up and I intend to demonstrate my claim."

The court was informed Mrs Spragg developed a connection via internet with Ms Wandelt prior to joining her on a trip to the McCanns' property in Leicestershire in last December.

Call logs showed Mrs Spragg had communicated through communication app to Mrs McCann to state the news outlets had portrayed Ms Wandelt as "mentally unstable" but that she deserved to be taken seriously in the time before the appearance to the village, the county, in December 2024.

The court heard communications between the two individuals, in last November, planning endeavoring to acquire Mrs McCann's biological evidence from her garbage or from utensils at a dining venue.

"We must make a stand," Mrs Spragg told Ms Wandelt.

On the occasion of the trip to their home, the defendant dispatched a communication which expressed: "We're currently sitting adjacent to the McCanns' house with our lights out resembling investigators. I had hoped to do this with another person I never thought I would be engaged in this with the McCanns."

The proceedings ongoing.
