Soccer Expert Sutton Battles Singer Murs in Top Flight Predictions

Arsenal's ten-match victorious streak came to an end by the Black Cats prior to the global hiatus, however will the English top division frontrunners bounce back against north London rivals Spurs this weekend?

"{I believe like Arsenal are light years ahead of Tottenham at the moment but Spurs manager Thomas Frank will have a strategy for this game," remarked soccer expert Chris Sutton.

"Frank will attempt to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their scintillating best this season - but Mikel Arteta's team usually still manage to win."

Sutton is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League games this season, versus AI, fans and a range of special visitors.

For the twelfth round, he faces performer Olly Murs, who is a United supporter.

The singer's new album, Knees Up, is available on the weekend.

Football and Parenting Life

Olly is a talented soccer player as well as a accomplished singer and has been a star of multiple Soccer Aid matches over time - but he is not planning a serious return as a player.

"{I recently played in a charity match the other evening for a mate of mine," he said. "My side was trailing 3-1 when I came off in the second half, and they went on to win 4-3, so you can interpret that what you want!

"I continue to love football, but I hurt my joint a few years ago and it still isn't where I want it to be. I wish I could play more but the uncertainty of the game means it's too risky for me in my career to do it properly again.

"Additionally I am forty-one now, and we are not all Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very content not playing football and I am preparing for the moment that my daughter or son decides to play instead."

The singer and his wife Amelia Tank have two children, Madison and their son, and he is prepared to follow in his father's footsteps by taking on the role of their manager.

"I will not push football on our kids but I've already told Amelia that if they do get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my coaching badges - and I will likely be managing their Saturday football side," he said.

"I watched my nephews play a lot, and I really got into it, and I clearly owned a football club for a while too.

"My dad did it with us when I was a child, which is probably where I get it from. He managed our team for two or three seasons and had great fun with it. That might be the next step for me as well, and I am excited to it!"

Premier League Forecasts

Weekend, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

The Blues may have to be patient for their star's return from injury but their attack is now more potent with Pedro and Liam Delap both returned to fitness.

I still think this fixture will be quite tight, though. Burnley are well organised and their only at Turf Moor losses so far have been against Liverpool and the Gunners.

This suggests a 1-1 tie to me, but I am actually going to choose the London side to edge it for what would be their third league win in a row.

The expert's prediction: 1-2

The singer's prediction: The Blues will be superior. 1-3

Artificial intelligence's outlook: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Cherries have lost their previous couple matches - although both of them were away - but they got absolutely spanked by Aston Villa last time out which shocked me.

In contrast, West Ham secured back-to-back victories before the hiatus and, although both of those games were at their stadium, they do look strong again.

West Ham's only away victory this campaign came at Forest in the summer, when their manager Nuno was previously Forest coach.

Therefore, what on earth do I go with here - can West Ham extending their run under their manager, or the home side bouncing back?

I am going to go with Bournemouth, because I think what happened against Aston Villa was a blip.

The pundit's prediction: 2-0

The guest's outlook: Bournemouth are doing well but West Ham have picked up under Nuno. 2-2

The algorithm's pick: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Bees were considered one of the favourites for relegation before the campaign began, but they have impressed a several observers under their manager and are in fine fettle with three in their past four matches.

My son advised me to get Bees striker Thiago in my Fantasy Football squad a few weeks ago and, unfortunately, I didn't listen.

The forward will likely find the net again on Saturday but I am still not going to pick him or back Brentford at Brighton's ground.

They have not had much success on the road this term, and the Seagulls are always decent at home. The visitors will try to hit them on the counter-attack but I think Fabian Hurzeler's team pose much more of a threat.

The analyst's prediction: 2-1

The singer's prediction: It could be one of those games where you expect there is going to be a lot of goals but it in reality proves to be quite tight. 1-1

The computer's outcome: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

This is a huge fixture for the Cottagers, who have lost five of their last six matches.

Fulham have have lots of quality in their squad but it still feels like they could be sucked into a relegation fight.

As for the Black Cats, well they are the surprise package of the Premier League campaign so far.

The away side's performance in the 2-2 tie with the Gunners last time out was superb. We've not seen anyone else rough up the North London side like that this season, and Sunderland were fully competitive for them.

The sensible thing to do to support the Black Cats here, because they are clearly capable of disrupting Fulham up too and, the last time they were in west London, they beat Chelsea at the end of last month.

However I am not choose that. Rather, I truly need to carry on going against the away team with my forecasts. I am taking a lot of credit for their good results because they clearly enjoy to defy my predictions.

Considering the home side's at Craven Cottage form, the only side they have been defeated by is the league leaders. Their manager's team will be absolutely eager for a good result, so I am going to say they will secure three points.

The expert's forecast: 1-0

The guest's prediction: I'm aware Sunderland are performing strongly and additionally that the hosts are on a poor run... but they have still been decent at Craven Cottage this season. 2-0

The algorithm's prediction: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

This is a hard fixture to call. The Reds have lost seven of their last ten matches in all competitions, but could they be among the sides who profit from the {international break|
