American-Palestinian Youth Liberated Following Nine-Month Period in Israeli Detention

An American-Palestinian youth who spent 270 days in Israeli detention without being charged has been freed.

The teenager Mohammed Ibrahim had just turned 15 at the time of his arrest last February throughout the West Bank territory, while he was vacationing from his Florida home for allegedly throwing stones at Jewish settlers, claims he consistently denied.

The US state department applauded Mohammed's liberation.

Currently aged sixteen, required hospitalization for treatment immediately after release, according to close relatives.

According to them, he appears visibly pale and thin, and is suffering from conditions developed during imprisonment.

Via family representatives, the youth's uncle conveyed their "overwhelming sense of relief".

Family member Zeyad Kadur described how relatives endured "living a horrific and endless nightmare" over the last nine months.

"Right now, our priority is ensuring Mohammed receives prompt healthcare he requires following exposure to mistreatment by authorities and inhumane conditions for months."

US officials said it would continue to extend consular services to Mohammed's family.

{"American leadership gives utmost importance than the safety and security of US citizens"," officials stated.

A group of American legislators submitted a formal letter to US authorities and the administration, requesting additional efforts for his freedom.

Mr Ibrahim, a father-of-four operating an ice cream shop based in Tampa, had earlier stated his son only confessed to throwing stones because the soldiers beat him.

He had not seen nor direct contact since the arrest, learning information solely about his son's condition through judicial records.

He stayed absent formal charges at Ofer detention facility in the West Bank.

Additionally housing adult prisoners, some of whom have been convicted for major terrorist activities and murder.

There are around 350 Palestinian minors in security custody currently imprisoned in Israel, based on prison authority data.

Many have never been charged along with monitoring agencies, and international organizations, document cases involving physical abuse and torture.

After the teenager's freedom, the uncle stated the family would also continue fighting for justice for his cousin family member Sayfollah.

The 20-year-old dual US citizen according to health authorities was beaten to death by radical settlers during a confrontation during summer.

Initially, defense forces stated they were examining information regarding a civilian had been killed.

Both young men collaborated at their family's ice cream business from Tampa.

No indictments occurred regarding Sayfollah's death.

"We anticipate US authorities to protect our families," the uncle stated.
